Long Island, located in the Whitsundays at the entrance to the Great Barrier Reef, is a tropical island getaway surrounded by stunning National Park and sparkling blue waters. Enjoy the great outdoors walking through tropical vine forests - Long Island's bush walks are considered by many to be some of the best in the Whitsunday Islands group. The 20kms of scenic walking tracks and palm fringed beaches offers fantastic views and encounters with local wildlife such as the rare Proserpine Rock Wallabies, rainbow lorikeets and curlews. Alternatively indulge yourself by lazing on the beach and soak in your surroundings – a cocktail from the pool bar really does enhance this experience!

Barefoot Lodge offers dorm style (4 bunks per room) or double/twin room accommodation, both with shared facilities. It is situated immediately behind Long Island Resort with access to all the resort facilities. There is a host of activities and entertainment, beautiful views and beaches, restaurants, swimming pools, tennis courts, bar sand so much moe.

Set in tropical grounds amidst frangipanis, coconut palms and vibrant flame trees and with one of the Whitsunday's best beaches, Long Island is truly a tropical island paradise.

Reception Hours- 7am – 10pm, staff on all call after hours
